Seeing Your Vision š
Happy Saturday!
This weekās main message:
Having 20/20 vision for your future means balancing short-term focus with long-term goals.
Welcome back to Classic Consistency!
I recently had a post-op visit for the corrective eye surgery I had back in October.
Reflecting on the topic of vision reminded me of two terms that describe common challenges people face when working toward their future goals:
Complacency Hyperopia (far-sighted)
This is when youāre able to clearly see the big picture but struggle to take the next actionable steps to move forward.
Complacency Myopia (near-sighted)
This is being great at handling the next task but struggling to see the bigger picture or stay focused on a long-term goal.
When it comes to planning your future, the key is finding balance.
The goal is to create a 20/20 āmultifocalā vision that helps you focus on both your daily tasks and your long-term aspirations.
But hereās the challenge: just like with physical vision, clarity takes consistent effort.
Itās easy to get stuck focusing too much on the details or daydreaming about the future without making meaningful progress.
Take action:
1.) Start by writing down your big visionāwhere you want to go and why it matters to you.
2.) Break it down into smaller, actionable goals: daily, weekly, and monthly.
3.) Regularly reflect and ask yourself: āAm I staying balanced between short-term tasks and long-term plans?ā
